CGI (Common Gateway Interface) Program - A program designed to run on the Internet.

Domain Name - This is the main address of a web site (ex. procompresearch.com).

Frame Set - A technique that is designed to show more than one page on the screen at a time. The Progressive Computer Research web site used to use a frame set to show 3 pages at a time (site v2.2) and below (the bar on the bottom and the bar on the left).

HTML (HyperText Markup Language) - The programming language used to instruct a web browser how to display a document.

Hyperlink - A highlighted word or graphic that tells your computer to view a new page.

Search Engine - A web site that allows you to search for other web sites and/or pages on a specific topic.

URL (Uniform Resource Locator) - Another way of saying Internet address (ex. http://www.procompresearch.com).

Web Hosting - The process of providing a space to put your web site on.

Web Page - A single document displayed on the World Wide Web.

Web Site - A set of documents, graphics, and programs hyperlinked together.
